This webinar series will focus on the fundamentals of produce safety for small and very small growers, to help growers improve produce safety and work towards compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act Produce Safety Rule as their business grows. The first part of this series will cover the need for improved food safety in the fresh produce market, an overview of the Produce Safety Rule, and documents that will need to be retained to show exemption from the rule. We will then begin to focus on specific topics within the rule and best practices including soil amendments, worker health and hygiene, wildlife, and domestic animals.
