9:00 pm

Emmanuel Episcopal Church, corner of Bullion & 2nd Street, Hailey, Idaho 83333

Like native plants? Join our group of like-minded hikers, gardeners, photographers, herbalists, professional botanists, outdoor enthusiasts and miscellaneous plant admirers at a potluck sponsored by the Wood River Chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society (INPS). The dinner and meeting will be held in the basement of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Hailey, on the corner of Bullion and 2nd Streets. Enter the church basement from Bullion Street.

The program for the evening will consist of a slideshow from our 2019 field trips and the election of chapter officers to serve in 2020. Only members of the Society will be allowed to vote in these elections, but absolutely everyone is welcome to attend the meeting. Ideas for 2020 field trips and lectures will be discussed. Guests are asked to bring a supper dish to share, and to bring their own reusable plate, glass and fork from home. The Chapter will provide beverages (plus dishware in case you forget to bring your own).

The Idaho Native Plant Society is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to promoting interest in native plants and plant communities, and collecting and sharing information on all phases of the botany of native plants in Idaho. We seek to foster an understanding and appreciation of our native flora and to preserve this rich heritage for future generations.

The Wood River Chapter of INPS hosted three free lectures in 2019 on topics ranging from native pollinators to plant fossils and also led six free field trips to seek native plants and share information about their habitat preferences, family relationships and field characteristics. We had fun! Please join us.
