Cinnamon Apple Chips

Apple chips are a delicious snack made with wholesome fruit, a pinch of cinnamon, and a bit of time. Start with fresh, crisp apples like Waterwheel Garden’s honeycrisp variety. Sprinkle organic cinnamon without the sugar, or get creative with a combination of cloves, nutmeg, and a dash of chili. Use as many apples as you have available; 2 to 4 fill a baking sheet, depending on size. This is a great treat to make on a cold fall morning as the low and slow cooking will warm your kitchen and the scent of cinnamon will bring joy to your home.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

Slice apples as thin as possible - using a sharp knife or a mandolin for 1/8” slices.

Put slices in a bowl, toss with 1 tsp. of cinnamon, then spread out on a parchment paper covered baking sheet.

Bake in oven until crisp, approximately 2 hours. Once crisp, remove from oven and let cool for an hour. Store in an airtight container for a few weeks.
